Tobogganing in the Dolomites:
With hurrah down into the valley
Fun must be! Therefore, a true winter holiday shall include at least a rollicking toboggan run. Alone, as a couple, with the family – tobogganing in the Dolomites always travels with the joy of life and remind not to brake! In Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park and the Seiser Alm you have eleven toboggan runs to choose from a total of 23 km in length, three of them in the holiday region Rosengarten-Latemar. So you can try every day a new one. And the closest runs just above our house.
Weekly toboggan afternoon
Our toboggan run in Tiers is that of St. Zyprian on the Traun meadow (about 1.5 km). It ends right at the hotel. You can join your toboggan ride with a hike through the snow or let you bring by us to start – as you like. The “Rodeln” – the sledding is called by us in South Tyrol – can be easily borrowed from us at the hotel. In January and February we weekly organize sledding afternoons, to which we cordially invite you and your family take part into.
Panoramic ride and full moon runs
Other recommended tracks for sledding in the Dolomites are:
- toboggan Niger Joch: Messnerjoch to Niger Joch (about 4 km)
- toboggan run Hubertus: Start at the top station Hubertus at Karersee-Carezza at the ski slope (1.2 km) with the gondola lift Hubertus you will be brought to the start of the toboggan run
- toboggan Seiseralm: Various toboggan runs
- toboggan Völs: Tuff Alm (1.5 km)
A special tip: On the panorama toboggan run on Puflatsch you will be delighted by the view. As romantics you might like full-moon sledding runs offered in many places. And if you saved yourself the rise and you would prefer to rest in a hut, then just take the chairlift. Down it goes less fussy!
