Climate-neutral holiday at Hotel Dosses

Nature in South Tyrol is something precious, to be cared for and protected. We also want to contribute to this. Hotel Dosses gets its electricity from the Tiers hydropower plant, a 100% environmentally friendly and climate-neutral source of energy. The hotel is also heated by a pellet plant. This is operated using wood, an environmentally friendly and renewable raw material, and is supplied directly from Kastleruth, which is in the immediate locality.

Sustainable heating

Pellets are environmentally friendly fuels consisting of dried industrial sawdust and wood residues from forestry. These are pressed under high pressure into rods of the same size. In this way, the wood pellets contain a lot of energy and can, by comparison, be stored in a more space-saving way. Due to their standardised size and quality, they also enable optimum combustion, during which hardly any residues are produced.
