Teeing off into the sunset

Golf holiday in the Dolomites / South Tyrol

Teeing off into the sunset

Do you love to relax and chase after the little white ball? Then we have two unusual tips for you: Visit the St. Vigil Seis golf course at the foot of the Schlern. The 18-hole course is certainly one of the most beautiful in South Tyrol. And at hole 15, the Par 3 has the largest height difference in Europe. The high-altitude climate, the phenomenal mountain view and the idyllic landscape make your golf holiday in the Dolomites/South Tyrol an outstanding event.

The highest golf course in South Tyrol

A real sensation even for experienced golfers is also not far from the hotel. At 1,700 m, at the Karerpass, lies the cradle of golf in South Tyrol, which is also the highest golf course in the country. When the sunset glows on the Rosengarten and you cover around 400 m of altitude difference in a fantastic setting during your round, you have captured the magic of Laurin's kingdom and at the same time played highly demanding, because very uneven, courses.

High-altitude feeling when putting

Here at the Golf Club Carezza on Lake Carezza, European aristocrats took up the clubs from 1904. In 1921, the fabulously located course was extended to 18 holes. And after a break from the 1950s, 9 holes have been available again since 1990. It may only be 9 – but you will experience how they will present you with sporting challenges on your golf holiday in the Dolomites/South Tyrol. You won't need hiking boots on the course, but a little bit of fitness should be part of your equipment.
